2018 All County Chorus Video

Welcome to the information page for the 2018-2019 Pinellas All County High School Chorus. 

General Information:

• We have two ensembles – Treble (SSAA, Coordinator Matthew Clear) and Mixed (SATB, Coordinator Lauren Brautigam)
• Auditions will be recorded and submitted electronically.
• Students will be asked to sing two vocalizes (the same vocalises as All-State)
• *New this year!* Students will be asked to sing a short excerpt (m. 17 beat 4 – m. 30 beat 3) from O Sing Joyfully by Adrian Batten. The audition tracks will play all parts other than the one being sung by the student (ex. Tenor auditionees will hear Soprano, Alto, and Bass being sung on the track).
• We are very excited to have Mary Biddlecombe as our treble choir clinician and Tucker Biddlecombe as our mixed choir clinician. They both work at Vanderbilt University, Mary as the Artistic Director of the Blair Children’s Chorus and Tucker as the Director of Choral Activities.
• Any high school student who participates in a school choral ensemble can audition.

Important Dates (subject to change):

• October 5 – Audition submittal deadline (online)
• October 26 (tentative) – Audition grading deadline (online)
• November 2 (tentative) – Roster announcement and music distribution
• January 15, 17, 22, 24 – Preparation rehearsals at Largo High School from 3:00-5:00
• January 28 – All day rehearsal with clinicians from 8:00-3:00 (Location TBA)
• January 29 – Performance at Ruth Eckerd Hall at 7:00 (Call time TBA)
